At Colby & Gale, we’ve been serving the communities of Lincoln and Knox Counties since 1946. While we take immense pride in providing dependable, 24/7 service and quality fuel products, the most rewarding part of our year is when we get to give back directly to the neighbors who support us.
That’s why we are deeply committed participants in the Fuel Your Love campaign, sponsored annually by the Maine Energy Marketers Association.
A Meaningful Valentine’s Day Tradition
Every February, while the rest of Maine is battling the deepest chill of winter, the Fuel Your Love initiative allows us to turn a simple delivery into a heartfelt act of community appreciation.
Our team—from our customer service representatives to our dedicated drivers—works together to identify deserving customers and local community organizations. These are the people and places that make Midcoast Maine so special, who may be facing financial difficulty, or who simply deserve a big thank you for their hard work.
On Valentine’s Day, our decorated trucks hit the road with more than just fuel; they carry flowers, chocolates, and the most valuable gift of all: a completely free fill-up of heating oil or propane.

The look on the faces of the recipients—often surprised and sometimes moved to tears—is the moment that fuels our love for this tradition. It’s a powerful reminder that our role in the community extends far beyond fuel delivery. It’s about delivering peace of mind, stability, and genuine warmth during the months when it matters most.
Whether we are topping off the tank of a long-time customer or supporting vital services like the Damariscotta Fire Department or Central Lincoln County Ambulance, this campaign embodies our company’s founding principles: outstanding service and community responsibility.
