Do you have a propane generator?

We cannot accurately predict your propane usage or delivery schedule if you have a propane generator. Generator use is unpredictable and can quickly deplete your tank, especially during an extended power outage, making automatic delivery estimates unreliable without a propane monitor.

  • Unpredictable Usage: Generators consume fuel at high rates that vary based on power load, making usage impossible to track remotely.
  • Fast Depletion: An extended power outage can drain a full tank in days, leaving you without heat or hot water.
  • Manual Monitoring Required: Because generator use is sporadic, it is the homeowner’s responsibility to monitor tank levels and call for refills.

Propane Tank Monitor

A tank monitoring system provides us with real-time, accurate readings of your tank level. This gives both you and us the most reliable information about when you need a refill.

The costly side of running out of fuel.

  • Mandatory Leak Tests: Running out triggers a legally required safety inspection and pressure test (fees apply).
  • Emergency Delivery Fees: Avoid the high costs of “special trip” or after-hours refills on weekends and holidays.
  • Appliance Wear: Prevent unnecessary strain and costly repairs to your furnace or boiler’s ignition system.

How It Works

The Monitor is Installed on Your Tank

A small, secure monitoring device is easily installed directly onto your propane tank and your gauge. This device uses cellular technology to read your exact fuel level in real-time, just like a sensor. So even if the power goes out, the monitor is transmitting over cellular connection.

Data is Sent to Our System

The monitor instantly transmits your current fuel level data to our dispatch software. This information is also sent directly your My Fuel Account online portal where you can see your tank level. When your propane level reaches our threshold of 30% it sends an additional alert to us to schedule delivery.

We Schedule Your Refill Proactively

If you are on automatic delivery, our system uses the real-time data—not an estimate—to schedule your refill precisely when you need it. This ensures you never run out, especially when an unexpected event (like a generator running during a power outage) causes rapid consumption.

Professional & Easy Install

The install is quick and hassle free. No need to deal with wifi or problems with dropped connectivity. Our team handles it all on our end and ensures it’s working 24/7.
